Mimma Dreams at the Barcolana

The European route towards cooperation, mobility and European values
An opportunity to get to know the association’s work up close and to bring even more people closer to the world of Europe, mobility, and cooperation.
On October 9, on the occasion of the Barcolana 57, the largest sailing event in the Mediterranean, Mimma Dreams APS took part for the first time as a guest of the Time to Move campaign stand, within the space curated by Europe Direct Trieste and the Municipality of Trieste.
An important moment to tell who we are, what we do, and why we believe that European mobility and international cooperation are key tools for building a more fair, sustainable, and aware future.
Mimma Dreams' first Barcolana
During the day, many young people, students, teachers and curious citizens stopped by our stand to discover the opportunities of the Erasmus+ programmes and learn firsthand about the experiences of those who have already spent a mobility period abroad.
Representing Mimma Dreams were Csenge, who collaborates with us thanks to an Erasmus Traineeship, Nunzia and Agnese, our president, who spoke about our daily commitment to promoting European values, civil rights and education through international cooperation and the active participation of young people and adults.
The stand thus became a space for dialogue and exchange, where stories could be shared, questions answered, and those who dream of leaving brought closer to the world of international mobility.
What is Time To Move
Time to Move is a European campaign promoted by the Eurodesk network, which every October organizes hundreds of events across Europe, online and in person, dedicated to those who want to discover international mobility opportunities.
The goal is simple: to connect young people with the world, providing information on training, volunteering, internships and cultural exchanges funded by the European Union.
During the Barcolana, this campaign found an ideal setting: the sea as a symbol of movement, discovery and openness to new learning experiences.
